ABOUT THE POSITION
As a Federally Qualified Health Center, we see all patients regardless of their ability to pay. As such, many of our patients have significantly deferred preventive services resulting in our doing a disproportionate share of extractions and fillings.
We do procedures consistent with those of a general dental practice, but we do not do cosmetics, our practice is best described as public health dentistry integrated into the continuum of primary preventive health care services.
Our patient population consists of pediatric through geriatric including nursing homes.
You should possess exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to work with a cross section of society (This is not private practice where only those with a socio-economic status can afford dentistry).
Collaboration is essential. There is no "pecking order" as all staff are on par as professionals and there is no " I say and you do" mentality as again this is NOT private practice, this is NOT the staffs dental center it IS the patients dental center.
NH is one of the best states for quality of life, we have no income nor sales tax as we are the 7th lowest total tax state in the country.
Why you should come work for us:
As a Federally Qualified Health Center we are nationally and regionally recognized for the quality of clinical outcomes. We are an organization where we all work WITH each other and FOR the 11,000 patients for whom this is THEIR health center.
This is an important distinction between our public health and integrated approach and that of a non-integrated private practice.
Being candid, most private practice dentists will not be satisfied nor successful in such an integrated model. Those who truly want to work in an interdisciplinary collaborative model where we successfully have integrated primary care, public health, and population based health into a successful culture where all staff work well together will thrive and achieve optimal harmony in their personal and professional fulfillment.
