ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to work with our experienced PTs, to treat mostly orthopedic patients in our exciting outpatient setting! We have created an environment where new graduates and those seeking higher skills in manual therapy can receive free on-the-job education.

Working here would be an excellent opportunity to hone your specific skill set! We often work with road and mountain bikers, runners, surfers, wing foilers, kiteboarders, swimmers, rowers, and of course lots of soccer, basketball, baseball and football players, and even the occasional hockey and rugby player!

Our Physical Therapist Assistants have 30 minutes one-on-one for follow-up visits. Each patient is managed by the same Physical Therapist/Assistant from start to finish. We pride ourselves in our specialized manual therapy skills and are happy to train the right person.

Our clinic includes 4 private treatment rooms with high-low tables and excellent ventilation. We have a spacious bright gym with high ceilings and natural lighting, and includes Pilates equipment, weight machines, pulleys systems, parallel bars and many other types of exercise equipment.

Why you should come work for us:

Our clinic has been in Berkeley as a standalone independent clinic for 40 years. The City of Berkeley awarded us a proclamation for delivering the highest quality of care for the longest period of time in our city.

Our current PT and administrative staff have between 8 and 25 years of experience and are happy to share their expertise. We have a very low staff turnover rate.

Our beloved PTA currently working with us did his last clinical rotation here then began working for us for the last 3 years!

Most practitioners have been here for many years.

Hours and days are flexible.

Compassion is our guiding principle and is the key to a healthy, healing environment.
