Description: Immediate opening for a Speech Language Pathologist (can be CFY) in a Skilled Nursing Facility in Florence, AL.


We partner with skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, home health agencies, hospice organizations, outpatient clinics and school systems to provide progressive physical, occupational, and speech therapy programs throughout Alabama.
Commensurate with experience ($27 - $40)

We are servicing a 222 bed Skilled Nursing Facility in Florence, AL where we provide Speech, Physical and Occupational therapy to their geriatric population.

Florence is a family friendly college town on the banks of the Tennessee River with a rich history in music and entertainment. 
We are looking for someone with a desire to work with and for people with temporary and/or chronic physical, mental, and developmental handicaps.  You should have knowledge of medical terminology to understand prescriptions and communicate with Physicians and Staff. 
Additionally, we would like to see in you someone who is dedicated, reliable, punctual, self-motivated, team player and with a desire to help others!
You should possess communication and hearing skills which allow for evaluation and treatment of speech/language disorders. Requirements also include bending, stooping, reaching, walking, lifting, and transferring of patients.
Your responsibilities will include:
The Staff Speech Pathologist shall provide quality speech/dysphagia evaluations and treatments to patients with communication and/or swallowing deficits, participate in the departmental operations as assigned by the Clinical Director.
1. Identify, assess, and provide treatment for individuals of all ages with communication/dysphagia disorders.
2. Manage and supervise programs and services related to human communication and its disorders.
3. Counsel individuals with disorders of communication, their families, caregivers, other service providers relative to the disability present and its management.
