Physical Therapist Outpatient

Description: We are looking to find a skilled part time Physical Therapist for our practice in San Francisco.

ABOUT THE POSITION

As the newest Physical Therapist in our office you'll be working with 3 other PTs. We have a small, well equipped gym on site.

Our patients range in age from 2 to 100. Our patients are seen for 45 min and then the therapist charts for up to 15 minutes.  

You'll be evaluating and treating musculoskeletal problems related to sports injuries, trauma, degenerative diseases, post and pre-ops etc.  We are specifically a hands on practice using our evaluation and treatment skills to sort through complex patient problems and co-morbidities, teaching postural awareness, body mechanics, strength and stabilization, and educational piece to keep patients well.  We also do wellness services for those who want to stay fit, flexible and strong separate from insurance. 

You will be required to evaluate and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal patients, demonstrate strong rationale for their choices of treatment. Demonstrate understanding of safety and following standard protocols in terms of patient treatments and personal safety so no patient  or staff gets injured. Demonstrate compassion, intelligence, willingness to accept constructive feedback as well as give it and be a team player.  Treats everyone with respect no matter what position. 

Though not huge we have about 15-20% gay/trans/bisexual patient population and therapists must be willing and able to treat without bias.
