ABOUT THE POSITION
Our emphasis is on “whole body health.” We treat everything from the head to the toes and everything in between with a specialty in pelvic floor rehab. We believe that education is the key to healthy change so we see our roles as patient guides towards health and wellness. We begin with education at evaluation, then use a wide variety of manual skills to eventually teach the patient selfcare with a very individualized home program which can include pain and stress management as well as foam roll, self-trigger point techs, stretches and strengthening.
Our therapists work either 8 hour days and see 8-10 pts/day or four 10 hour days and see 10-12 pts per day. We are one-on-one with patients and a rehab tech occasionally helps with simple gym HEP education.
Some of the treatments we provide include Craniosacral, Myofascial, Visceral manipulation, sEMG Biofeedback for pelvic floor muscle dysfunction, connective tissue and soft tissue manipulation, trigger point therapy, Sara Meeks, Swiss Ball and foam roll programs. We also currently offer yoga, an "Extreme self care class" and a Tai Chi class all for the purpose to encourage continued carry over for patients after discharge.
Manual therapy is our main physical requirement. You'll need to be comfortable with performing internal vaginal and rectal assessments and manual therapy techniques.
We are looking to either double the size of our clinic or move to a new location in the near future. We are looking forward to continued expansion.
ABOUT THE EMPLOYER
This is a private, clinician-owned, outpatient rehab facility located in Rockford, IL.
Medical, dental, vision, life, IRA, PTO and CE allowance.
Why you should come work for us:
We are a very small, intimate clinic setting with a staff of 8. The owner is part of that staff and works “in the trenches” with the other therapists so has a unique understanding of how to balance productivity expectations while still keeping the major emphasis on quality of care.
Our therapists usually work one on one with a patient which sets us apart from other outpatient clinics. We also have a very strong emphasis on working as a solid team.
The owner works one-on-one with the therapists as needed. At initial hire the training time is determined by the employee, there is no rush as to when the therapist is required to become independent as quality care and therapist confidence is very important to us. We lean towards a holistic approach and desire to be a premier outpatient therapy clinic in the area. We are also the only local pelvic floor therapy clinic in a 60 mile radius.
