Occupational Therapist job in Home and Outpatient Care

Lake County , IN 46311

We are honored to employ highly-regarded professionals who are respected in their fields, and to be considered a model treatment facility. Our highest honor is achieved when a child smiles after learning a new skill, and the family recognizes the difference. Our founder, a registered occupational therapist, continues to lead us today.

You will be joining a terrific and diverse group of Therapists. We all have a Pediatric passion and love working with our patients and seeing them blossom.

We do an orientation for our new staff before they start treating patients. We serve children from birth through adulthood. They may have difficulty with engagement, sensory processing, coordination concerns, chromosomal abnormalities, or profound medical and orthopedic special needs.

In addition to our extensive clinical experience, our team frequently participates in training sessions to learn the latest in treatment methods. Our service providers are recognized for their holistic and individualized approach to the treatment of each child and ability to involve and empower the family in the process.

Our Occupational Therapists focus on improving their patient's function in everyday activities of life. Such activities may include playing, eating, dressing, hygiene and learning. They help the child enhance his or her fine/visual motor skills (e.g. buttoning, holding a fork, coloring, cutting, and combing hair).

We are one of the largest pediatric intervention service providers in northwest Indiana and the southern Chicago suburbs. Our professionals provide behavioral services, developmental therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech and language therapy services.
Benefits offered:
We do offer benefits including retirement plan, CE allowance, PTO and more.
Why you should come work for us:
Take a peek inside our company and you may hear a boy shouting “Go!” for the first time as his Speech/Language Pathologist bounces him on a giant air log.

Meander around our nature trail, and you may see an Occupational Therapist building a sand castle at the ‘sandy beach’ with a little boy who never used to enjoy touching sand, or a Physical Therapist helping a young girl master each step up to the ‘curly’ slide. Smiles abound. Parents clap and cheer for their children.

But it doesn’t end there. Children learn through play, the common thread used in our sessions. Come join us and discover how learning can be fun!
