Description: Full time or part time Physical Therapist opening in outpatient company serving Assisted Living Facilities in several locations near Minneapolis, MN.

Compensation:
$40 - $42 per hour

ABOUT THE POSITION

We work in several assisted living facilities around Minneapolis where we offer PT, OT and SLP services to their residents.

Typical patient population ranges from about 70 years old to 100 and each therapist will see on average 8 patients per day.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist to work in 2 facilities depending on case load: Tues, Thurs in Columbia Heights. Part time positions are in Waconia and Excelsior.

You should possess these qualities/skills:

  • Ability to follow written and oral directions. 
  • Computer skills required. 
  • Demonstrates high level of personal and professional accountability and responsibility. 
  • Self-directed and performs duties independently. 
  • Ability to problem solve and apply critical thinking skills. 
  • Must have the proven ability to maintain confidentiality. 
  • Must demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.

Your responsibilities will include (partial list):

  • Evaluate and treat patients in accordance with state guidelines, identifying root causes of dysfunction that directly translates to impairments in daily function
  • Establish appropriate POC (Plans of Care) for the patients outlining the path to achieve the patient’s goals; reassess periodically to keep goals relevant
  • Oversee the treatment provided by the PTA based on established POC
  • Delivers treatment to patients including manual therapy, educating and performing therapeutic exercises, training of proper techniques for movements and body mechanics, develops balance systems or addresses vertigo, and addressing pain to reach goals.
