    Must be able to handle physical challenges. The job can be physically demanding because therapists often have to stoop, kneel, crouch, lift, and stand for long periods. In addition, physical therapists move heavy equipment and lift patients or help them turn, stand, or walk.

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are a growing outpatient Physical Therapy services company with locations in  Albuquerque, Los Lunas and Belen, NM. This opening is for the Belen location, just a little bit south of Albuquerque.
 
We provide general physical therapy to a patient population of about 14 years old and up and each therapist spends 1 full hour with their patient. Each of our therapists is free to treat  they way they see fit as long as it is evidenced based treatments and follow good patient care.
 
You will be expected to perform evaluations, treatments and documentations in accordance with your training and local and national laws to the best of your abilities.
 
You should have strong interpersonal skills in order to be able to educate patients about their physical therapy treatments. You also should be compassionate and possess a desire to help patients. Similar traits are needed to interact with the patient’s family.
 
We want our staff to have a strong passion for patient care.  We want it to be the right fit for them and us.  Great attitude, flexible and hard working.  Want to make a difference in patients lives and the physical therapy world.  Able to work with PTA's and work as a team.
 
Our DPT's work with PTA's.  Our company is big on continuing education.  Our staff has opportunities to be a CI/mentors for schools that do rotations with our company.  Not required if staff is not comfortable.  We have senior staff to help develop new graduates.  Our owner has been a PT for 30+years and has great name recognition with the communities and doctors in our areas.  Our owner has great passion for physical therapy.  We are a family oriented company who know all our employees by name.  We are not a large corporation.  Our facilities have proper protocols for Covid in place.  99% of our staff is fully vaccinated for Covid.  Vaccine is not required to work here.
