ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to work with our experienced PTs, to treat mostly orthopedic patients in our exciting outpatient setting!

We pride ourselves in providing one-on-one manual therapy treatments without the use of aides or non-licensed practitioners. We have a strong connection with our community and organizations such as The Center for Independent Living and Health Black Families have partnered with us to get services extended to more people.

We have created an environment where new graduates and those seeking higher skills in manual therapy can receive free on-the-job education. We pride ourselves in our manual therapy skills and are happy to train the right person.

Working here would be an excellent opportunity to hone your specific skill set!

Our Physical Therapist Assistants have 30 minutes one-on-one for follow-up visits. Each patient is managed by the same Physical Therapist/Assistant from start to finish. We do not micromanage in this clinic; autonomy and individual development is fostered. We also place a high value on continuity of care.

Our clinic includes 4 private treatment rooms with high-low tables and excellent ventilation. We have a spacious bright gym with high ceilings and natural lighting. The gym includes Pilates equipment, weight machines, parallel bars and many other types of exercise equipment.

You should be active and friendly with a compassion for patient care and excellent outcomes.

Why you should come work for us:

Our clinic has been in Berkeley as a standalone independent clinic for 40 years. The City of Berkeley awarded us a proclamation for delivering the highest quality of care for the longest period of time in our city.

We believe in autonomy for the PT, we do NOT have a corporate environment there is no micromanagement of the therapist.

Our current staff members have between 13 and 35 years of experience and are happy to share their expertise. We have a very low turnover rate.

Most practitioners have been here for many years.

Hours and days are flexible.

We strive for diversity in our staff and are committed to serving all socio-economic backgrounds, ethnicities, and genders.

Compassion is our guiding principle and is the key to a healthy, healing environment.
